Long Term Care Nurse Expert
Aleksandra is a Certified Gerontological Nurse with experience in both non-for profit and for-profit Long-Term Care (LTC) facilities in Ontario. She is a leader in her practice who possesses a wide foundation of skills in Long-Term Care from the delivery of care to clients, to operational leadership roles as Nurse Manager, Director, Administrator and more recently, as Chief Executive Officer. Aleksandra has been responsible for the clinical, financial, human resources, regulatory and policy compliance for nursing departments of large LTC facilities. Aleksandra has also been responsible to ensure enhanced infection control measures (IPAC) to effectively control the spread of COVID-19 during her tenure as Executive Director and participated in the Ontario Health “Now is the Time to Act- Part 2 Long-Term Care Staff and Partner Voices from the COVID-19 Pandemic, November 2020”. Aleksandra is recognized by senior management and corporate leaders as a key LTC operations resource. She has completed several advanced certifications and courses in Geriatric Care and Management, including the Certificate in Elder Law at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. Additional experience includes Health Care Consent Volunteer, Advanced Care Planning and Regional Champion for Hospice Palliative Care Ontario.
