Amy graduated in 1996 as a Registered Nurse, and then as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in 2006. She has been actively practicing in primary care since 2007 and has been the primary care provider within a family health team since 2007 providing care from newborn to end-of-life support. She also manages the health care needs of a long-term care facility and leads a walk-in clinic that addresses acute care needs within the community. Amy has added education with a Certificate in Geriatrics from St. Xavier University and she completed a Masters in Nursing with a teaching focus from Athabasca University in 2017. Amy also operates a walk-in clinic, where she manages acute and chronic patient issues and she has mentored NP students for over a decade.
